26TH FEBRUARY 2000
Name: CDT FLT SGT Suzanne Lee
Suzanne, who plays the saxophone alto with Granby School band, recently attended the fifth Air Cadet National Music Camp at RAF College Cranwell in Lincolnshire. She was one of two cadets selected from all the musicians in North Yorkshire's 22 ATC squadrons. This achievement aside, the thirty-three cadets from around the UK completed a series of workshops culminating in a concert to our Air Commodore John Kennedy, college officers and the cadets' parents, in the College hall. The Corps Concert Band did not spend all their time concentrating on music, however, as visits to sections at Cranwell and sports and social activities allowed everyone time to relax and see life at the RAF College.

Suzanne joined the ATC at 13. Now 17, she is the senior female cadet at 58, a Staff cadet with her Gliding proficiency wings, a Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award and she is an RAF Marksman. She intends to fly with the RAF in later life.
