The artist and photographer, Tony Walling, studied fine art, photography and graphics at Medway College of Art in Rochester, Kent. For over 20 years he ran his own design consultancy in London's West End.
Tony moved with his family to Harrogate in North Yorkshire in 1989. Yorkshire Impressions is a new online exhibition featuring his digital photography, digital art and fine art. The subjects are all inspired from Yorkshire landscapes, particularly in the Dales
Tony recalls, "I remember my first visit to Kettlewell in the Dales, nearly 20 years ago, as we travelled along the Bolton Abbey route trailing the River Wharfe. The landscape was iconic and breathtaking. During the journey home, dramatic rain clouds appeared from the west and the whole landscape was bathed in a magical blue light, the same dramatic light transformations that have excited so many artists and photographers. Since then, my inspiration has not ceased and I still gasp at the county's wonderful natural beauty."
www.Yorkshire-Impressions.co.uk goes further than other online galleries by giving an information map on where the images were conceived, an in-depth look at some of the creative processes used by the artist and useful links for those wishing to find out more about beautiful or staying in beautiful Yorkshire.
