Red Dwarf’s Holly Confirmed for First Harrogate Comic Con

2016 has started well for Harrogate’s sci-fi fans. North Lincs Tv & Film Comic Con announced on Sunday that Norman Lovett, who played Red Dwarf’s on-board computer Holly in the eponynous 90s televsion show, is set to make an appearance at Harrogate Comic Con in May at the Rossett Sports Centre.

Harrogate prepares to switch on the Christmas lights

The festive period is here and on Thursday November 20 the Harrogate Christmas lights will go on. The big switch-on event will take place this Thursday outside the Victoria Shopping Centre, and the man pressing the button will be none other than jolly Saint Nick himself.

Harrogate Bodybuilders Raise Money for Charity

Harrogate’s very own fitness fanatics have been fighting it out in a bodybuilding event that included 30 competitors. The contest attracted over 500 people and managed to raise around £2000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research and Springwater school.

Live Music Acts Head to Harrogate

A week-long festival of live music in a legendary Spiegeltent rocks Harrogate from 31 May. Yorkshire Show to Get New Parking

A £500,000 cash boost is being put in place to help improve parking conditions at the Yorkshire Show in Harrogate. After last year’s Yorkshire Show was called off on account of rain, measures are being taken to improve the parking facilities.
