Halloween in Harrogate

Whether you are lucky enough to be attending a Halloween night out, or simply want your kids to keep up with their friends, Harrogate is jam packed with fabulously freaky costumes from independent stores, I’m here to tell you where to head to make this Halloween truly harrowing.

“When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween”

Footlites, located on the bottom of Commercial Street in the town centre has been the go-to for the majority of families in Harrogate when it comes to costumers for over 20 years, the reason for this is simple; the products offer great value for money and a little something for everyone.

Whether you fancy being a dashing devil, wicked witch or cute cat, Footlites have everything from the face paint, accessories or full all-out costumes for both kids and adults alike.

So you are all dressed and ready for your ghoulish guests, but what about your haunted house? Luckily we have Party Fever, nestled at the bottom of Station Parade providing not only traditional party wares, but also walls full to the brim of everything you could ever need to turn your house from so-so to super scary! Inflatable tombstones, screaming skeletons and wicked spiders webs are all on offer, as well as fake blood, window dressings and even the odd coffin. Surely something there for every Halloween party.

Fancy heading out all dressed up, then there are some creepy and kooky nights out in Harrogate. The top of the parties in town has to be Montey’s Rock Café, with its dark doors, earth soul, rock & roll attitude and lavish list of ghastly glasses full of cackling cocktails, the staff will not only serve you with a smile, but also a severed hand or two, if you are lucky.

Have fun this Halloween and remember, watch out for things that go bump in the night!

Happy Halloween from all the Harrogate.co.uk Team!
