Stunning rare orchids are to be displayed at the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate this month. The Harrogate Orchid Society will be showcasing their beautiful collection over the weekend of 16th – 17th March. This is a chance for the general public to see a variety of delightful specimens that cannot be found in garden centres.

Orchids are notoriously difficult plants to look after. Sensitive to their surroundings, many people fail to provide adequate nutrients and the right environment for these most delicate of plants. As a result, orchid experts will also be on hand to help visitors with their plant related problems. Visitors are even encouraged to bring along their own orchids for advice on how best to care for them. Everything from potting demonstrations to how to care for your growing orchid will be discussed in depth amongst these beautiful flowers.

The Orchid Exhibition will be held at the famous Harlow Carr Gardens in Harrogate. A stunning array of flowers and plants can be found throughout the grounds that make for a lovely walk any time of year. With smooth pathways and woodland trails, you can be as adventurous as you like when exploring these vast gardens that boast a wealth of horticultural gems from around the world.

The Orchid Exhibition will be held in the Bramall Learning Centre at RHS Garden Harlow Carr between 10am – 4pm on 16th and 17th March. Please check the website at www.rhs.org.uk/harlowcarr for more details.
