Taylor’s Tea – Hit’s a 6!
Taylors tea is celebrating after having been declared the official brew of the England cricket team for a further three years, it was announced on Thursday. The Harrogate-based beverage company was given the prestigious appointment for the first time in 2013 and their best loved Yorkshire tea will now continue to represent the county on a global level.
Speaking to the Harrogate Advertiser, Head of Brand Marketing for Taylors Kevin Kinfield said the company was looking forward further developing their partnership with cricket and investing in a range of cricket-related campaigns which are sure to boost Harrogate’s already impressive international reputation.
Taylors longstanding love of cricket has been well documented over the years, from their cricket-themed packaging to their annual search for what they consider to be “the greatest cricket tea in the land” – a charitable endeavour that supports local cricket teams throughout the UK. In 2015 their search paid off for the Newtown Linford Cricket Club in Leicestershire, who won an opportunity to play against a team of ex-England cricketers.
Taylors are currently remaining modest about their impressive achievement on social media, but their loyal fans will surely be celebrating the addition of another deserving feather to an already well-decorated cap.
