A typical morning starts at 9.00 am with free play until Register time. The children sit down together and answer when their name is called.
Each day we have a named “Helper” and that child will help change the weather board. We talk about the topic and look at any items the children have brought in to show their friends after which we all listen to a story.
The children then join in with a variety of activities until Tidy Up time.
At every session we offer sand and water play, painting, playdough, construction, role play, small world play, puzzles, books, games and computer programmes. During this time we operate a cafe system for the children’s refreshments and they can choose from apple, breadstick, cheese, banana, cucumber, water, milk or orange juice.
At 11.15 am we all tidy away the toys and activities (the children are encouraged to help) and then come together as a group for songs, PE, or music and
movement.
The children then collect their coats from the cloakroom before being collected to go home at 11.45am
