Pannal and Beckwithshaw Churches Together Small lighting rig |
Many thanks to Church House Trust for these items. They have been well used in both Pannal churches for a variety of events. Highlights have included a Steels Concert at St Robert's (which was also the stage debut for Hannah Timmis), a number of youth services in both churches, an eccumenical presentation of Holy Moses (with projected slides from the Lego 'Brick Testament') a community carol service in the Methodist Church and some youth socials. They were also used along with other lights etc at the very successful Jazz Eucharist we celebrated at St John's Bilton which was also supprted by Church House Trust. One of the lights is presently illuminating the Easter Garden, proclaiming the gospel message - Christ is Risen! | £250.00 |

Each event run in association with United Gigs to date had incurred costs around £300 to hire in a suitable lighting rig. Rock ConneXion Two PA Speakers |
The two PA speakers (£1435) have been in weekly use for some time and have greatly enhanced our sound reproduction capabilities which is an important aspect of this kind of worship event. Previously sound equipment had to be borrowed or put together from miscellaneous equipment belonging to various people. The Church House grant has enabled us to have regular and reliable PA equipment kept securely on the premises which also helps with the challenging task of setting up each week. |
£1,435.00 |
Rock ConneXion Multimedia projectors |
The high powered multimedia projectors (£1800) have been invaluable in raising the standard of visibility on the two screens we use each week. Previously equipment was borrowed from various sources and, apart from the complications in setting up this caused, the projectors we had relied upon were uneven in projection power which of course considerably reduced the visual impact. In addition two uniform high power projectors were vital as in the summer months the sun tends to shine through the west window thus significantly reducing visibility on screen. Without the Church House grant for this equipment it is unlikely that we could have rectified this from our own resources. | £1,800.00 |
St Robert's, Pannal Jazz Eucharist |
Many commented at how very successful was this Jazz Eucharist. Working with many across the area, and, with thanks to St John's, Bilton for hosting the celebration and to CHT for its support, the event covered its costs and we were able to provide much needed support to St Michael's Hospice. | £632.31 |
Rock ConneXion Lighting rig |
The grant in respect of the lighting rig (£1475) has not yet been used as we are still uncertain about the best way forward. Apart from getting the right technical solution for The Rock ConneXion there are also issues relating to the architecture of St. Peter's and the necessity of a faculty if we decide on a fixed solution . June 2008: update awaited | £1,475.00 |
Wellspring Therapy and Training Text and work books |
We are still benefiting greatly from the library facility built out of the March 2006 grant, particularly invaluable are books which inform directly our therapeutic work with clients, and those helping us to ensure strong ethical working for the organisation as a whole. The library is also very helpful to trainee counsellors as they work towards a professional qualification. |

South Side and Pannal & Beckwithshaw Churches Together |
The PA system has been used for our annual weekend away in Whitby, as well as for a few events in the area. More recently we have enjoyed the use of lighting and a projector from the Pannal Area resources supplied by CHT. Our thanks from the South side for the blessing of excellent resources to aid in kingdom ministry as well as saving hundreds of pounds in hire costs. § | £1000.00 |
St Peter's Church Rev Tim Hurren |
Edited report, March 2007: In practice my formal ecumenical involvement consists of being a Trustee of YFC, a newly appointed Trustee of Wellspring where I have particular responsibility for engaging with church leaders across the board, an active member of Town Centre Churches Together, and the extension of St Peter's quarterly Songs of Praise service through involving other churches. |

Roll the Rock PA system |
We have now been able to set up our monthly youth Event elev8 using the PA rig and projector, reaching out to young people in the area. We have been getting around 40 young people to each event which includes videos, games, bands and chat. Young people are enjoying it and responding to what they hear about the Christian message. | £1,500.00 |
Bilton Churches Together St John's kitchen for ecumenical works |
Update, April 2007: being delayed by an objection by the Victorian Society to the re-ordering of the East End of St John's. (English heritage have been constructive in their response.) Whilst there is no specific objection to the kitchen works, the faculty appears to be tied to the whole of the East End Scheme. | £1,500.00 |
Wellspring Therapy and Training Project Manager salary |
Funding to support the work of the Project Manager, Lin Hudson, received later in the year has also proved invaluable. As the only current paid member of staff, Lin is the focus for much of the communication within the service, and its day-to-day operational management, in conjunction with the strategic direction offered by the Board of Trustees. |
