Church House Trust was formed following the sale of Church House in 2001 with the interest from the capital providing a fund to support Christian mission and ministry in the Harrogate area.

The Trust was formally launched on 13 October 2005, following its inception on 13 July 2005.

What does the Trust support?
Broadly the Trust seeks to support Christian mission and ministry.  The charitable objects for Church House Trust are:
* to advance the Christian religion
* to relieve poverty
* to advance education, and
* to further any other charitable purpose by making grants to churches affiliated to, or groups supported by, Churches Together in Harrogate.

Grants are usually made in March and September - see 'How to apply' below.

How to apply:
The Trustees welcome applications from member churches of Churches Together in Harrogate, groups affiliated at the Churches Together AGM and groups supported by Churches Together in Harrogate.

Applications for grant disbursement to be with the secretary three weeks prior to the meeting dates noted below.

2008
At the AGM on 14 May 2008, two new Trustees were welcomed: David Collett (MCC) and Julie Clark (Harlow Hill) while secretary Humph Baker (Christ Church) retired. [Trustees are members of subscribing churches to CTH]
At the meeting on Wednesday 13 February 2008, the Trustees agreed disbursements to several projects across Harrogate; disbursement listing 2008 now available. The application form now includes the declaration that applicants will return funds should the project or event not go ahead within 12 months.
2007
The Church House Trust webpages have been revised to include a navigation menu and a new Resources Available page.

2006
A list of summary 2006 reports is available.
At the meeting on Wednesday 7 February 2007, the Trustees agreed disbursements to several projects across Harrogate; disbursement listing 2007 available. All were notably ecumenical in organisation and outlook; the trustees made an advance agreement to support the purchase of a portable Labyrinth for use across the area; further details to follow.

At the meeting on Wednesday 27 September 2006, the Trustees agreed disbursements to around nine projects across Harrogate. The Trustees were delighted especially to support ecumenical initiatives where churches were sharing resources.
Rev Tim Hurren, St Peter's church, stood down as trustee in August 2006.
At the meeting on Wednesday 8 March 2006, the Trustees met and agreed disbursements to around twenty projects across Harrogate. Applicants are due to receive notification of grants during the week commencing 12 March 2006. A full report to March was given at our AGM 2006.
