Churches
Together in Harrogate
is the interdenominational grouping of the Christian Churches in the town
and neighbouring villages.
United in pilgrimage, we aim to highlight our unity in Christ, so that
our differences are diminished or utilised beneficially in worship, witness
and work together, serving our community in love, so that others may be
convinced of the good news we share.
Churches
Together is sub-divided into Areas of
small interdenominational groups of churches. Each Local
Area Group has regular meetings of their own (noted chronologically below, most recent first), with regular linked
church services. The six areas unite the churches in:
Bilton
Lower Dale churches
Pannal and Beckwithshaw
South Side - Leeds Road Area
Starbeck and Woodlands
Town Centre
The overall Harrogate Churches Together Executive committee facilitate cross-Area Group communications and events. All churches come together for the Annual Assembly (2007 (24 Jan 2008), 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003; 2002) and
the AGM (2006 St Peter's; 2005 St Paul's), (11 May 2004, Beckwithshaw) (20 May 2003, St Mark's),
In addition the central Steering
Council has met in September and February, with three representatives
from each area. Each of these meetings gives opportunity for the exchange
of news and organise the communal events - like the Good Friday service,
or Lent Lunches. More info, dates, venues, times and churches within each

share these responsibilities dependant on meeting venue).
