Name
The Organisation shall be called "Churches Together in Harrogate ".
Basis

Objectives

(b) To undertake to work towards doing things together except that which, in conscience, must be done separately;
(c) To witness, worship and to serve our community together in love that others may be convinced of the good news we share.
Organisation

Membership is open to all worshipping congregations who acknowledge God's revelation as stated above. Affiliated members are non-subscribing groups set up historically by Churches Together in Harrogate or voted into affiliated membership at the AGM.
The organisation shall hold at least two open meetings each year to include an Annual General Meeting in May of each year when accounts will be presented and officers elected. The AGM is open to all members of the public. Only those from subscribing congregations have the right to vote.
Non-denominational Christian organisations are encouraged to send one representative to all meetings of the Churches Together in Harrogate to share in the discussions, that person not being entitled to vote.

(a) The President, Secretary, and Treasurer (all to be elected annually), past President, President elect;

Local Area Groups

(c) Each Local Area Group shall appoint, in time for the Annual General Meeting, one named representative to be a member of the Executive Committee and one named deputy.
Finance
Each congregation shall pay an annual subscription to the Executive Committee to defray costs of general administration and to contribute to the wider ecumenical organisations, the amount to be decided at its Annual General Meeting. The financial year end of Churches Together in Harrogate is 31 March.
