7:30pm each day at St Peter's church. Dennis Potter's play is being performed by St Peter's drama group, helping to provide a focus on the Easter story.

Monday 5 April, 7:45pm Cantata sung by Dale Singers at Woodlands (Map)
Monday to Thursday, 7pm at Starbeck Methodist Church (
Map) Holy Week Meditations, using a short video presentation (the Bible Society video "Tales from the Madhouse") about the characters in the Passion story with plenty of time for quiet reflection. On Maundy Thrsday the service starts at 6:30pm. More info available.

Wednesday 7 April: Spotlight at Wesley: Easter Celebration
1pm; Readings, poetry, music and reflections on the theme of Easter. Light refreshemnts served in the foyer. (

Starting at Starbeck Methodist Church (Map) and concluding at Christ Church (Map) for the 11am service (itself the climax of their Holy Week children's club).

Good Friday, 9 April: Churches Together "Walk of Witness": Town Centre
...reminding us all of the place of the cross in the Christian faith. The crucifixion of Jesus, God's Son, was the way God chose to give us the opportunity to restore our relationship with Him. Forgiveness of sins - the wrongs we have done, one to another as well as to God - is essential in the walk of Christians with their heavenly Father. Easter Day, 11 April: Services across all churches to celebrate Easter
The Christian Church celebrate the resurrection - the rising back to life - of Jesus, God's Son. Services in every church celebrate this extraordinary life redeeming act by God. A listing of the major services is available on this website.

Saturday 17 April: Changing World, Changing Choices conference
10-4; Ampleforth. A day of discussion opened by Rt Rev John Habgood. Workshops include: Caring for the vulnerable; Will marriage survive?; Teenagers; Trade or Aid?; Cloning and other medical - ethical issues; Media or Truth. Christians against Poverty website, pleaseFriday 23 April: Dearbhaile O’Donnell in concert for Christians against Poverty
7.30pm for 8pm at
South Parade Baptist Church, Headingley, Leeds (Map). All proceeds will go to Christians Against Poverty. Dearbhaile O’Donnell will play selected works by Schubert, Chopin and Debussy. Saturday 24 April: Music and Worship workshop
2pm - 5:30pm at Starbeck Methodist Church (Map) Psalm 98: "Sing to the Lord a new song" - in 1780, Charles Wesley's songs were radical and new! All welcome to an afternoon of learning today's new songs, practice, fun and worship. Kindly organised by Starbeck's Mid Week Worship group; no fee, contributions for refreshements etc welcome.
