Sunday 1 May: Stepping out in Joy
3:00pm at Ripon Cathedral; a special services a Celebration of the gifts and talents of people with Learning Disabilities with Rt Rev James Bell, Bishop of Knaresborough.  An exhibition in the north transecpt runs over the Bank Holiday weekend highlighting agencies working in this area.  All most welcome; more info from Rev Bob Brooke 0113 270 2829.

Monday 2 May: Christian Ecology Link: Circular Walk
2:00pm meeting at Pannal station (a train departs Harrogate at 13.44), following the ringway to Stone Rings Beck and back; May be muddy in places so bring strong footwear.  Those traveling by train are recommended to catch the 13:44 from Harrogate station. 11 May: Royal College of Midwives Annual Conference: celebration
8:00am, Harrogate International Centre; more details from James Hampton

Saturday 14 May: World Debt Day
10:30am - 2pm, outside St Peter's church.

14 May: Ultimate Event @ Alton Towers
Superchick, Rock n Roll Worship Circus and the Newsboys are three new acts from the USA this year. 'Enjoy a day out at Alton Towers then a great Christian Concert in the evening.'  Various local youth leaders take groups to this 'Ultimate Event'

Sunday 15 May: Drama for Pentecost
7pm, at St Andrew's, Starbeck.  An Ecumenical Pentecostal Liturgy directed by Katy Wilde; organised by S&WCT

Sunday 15 May: Pentecost service at Fountains Abbey
3pm Ecumenical service in the abbey ruins; all welcome; more info on the Fountains Abbey website. (Map)

Friday 20 May: St Aidan's Cof E High School Proms in the Park
At Ripley Castle

Sunday 22 May: "If my people"; the Hopes and Dreams choir
6:30pm at Trinity Methodist church.  This musical presentation, based on "If my people" by Carol & Jimmy Owens, including narration, dance, solos and the choir.

Monday 30 May: Central Council of Church Bell Ringers conference
