Saturday 1 July: Garden Party for St Michael's Hospice
2:00pm to 5:00pm, hosted by Rev Alan & Mrs Anne Bolton. The entrance fee of £2 includes tea or coffee, scone, jam and cream .
1 July: West Park URC Big Red Band
7:30pm at West Park URC (Map) with the Harrogate Music Centre Intermediate Concert Band. All welcome; tickets £5 on the door.

10:30am at Bar Methodist chapel (Map). All pets - and their owners - very welcome. Car parking at the rear of the chapel.

Monday 3 July: Harrogate Anglican Deanery
7:30pm, Staveley Village Hall: 'What a deanery should be'; Eucharist and synod with Archdeacon Ken Good. For members of the Deanery Synod. Ken's talk highlighhted the developments in ministry in North Michigan.
Wednesday 5 July: Harrogate Anglican Deanery Clergy Chapter
7:15pm, Christ Church. Farewell dinner with Archdeacon Ken and Mrs Joan Good. For clergy of the Anglican Harrogate Deanery.
Saturday 8 July: West Park URC Strawberry Teas

Sunday 9 July: Mayor's Installation Wesley
At Wesley, time to follow. The installation of Geoff Webber as Mayor, with Rev Gordon Lister as Mayor's chaplain.
9 July: Fellbeck chapel
2:30pm at Fellbeck (Map). With the closure of this Nidderdale Wesleyan chapel built in 1903, today sees the last act of worship although the congregation are seeking to continue in fellowship and prayer.

 9 July: World Cup Footy Party

Tuesday - Thursday 11-13 July: Great Yorkshire Show
At the Church Pavilion this year the theme explores the points where contact is made with the Church - Baptism, Marriage and Death, with three distinct areas and displays: Belonging, Commitment and Hope.  16 July: Rev Martin Soar
Service of farewell to Martin and Megan Soar as he takes up the chaplaincy post at Old Swinford Hospital school in Stourbridge from July. Times for his farewell services with the congregations of St Mary's at the Grammar School and the All Saints at Harlow Hill to follow.
16 July: Venerable Ken Good
5:30pm, Ripon Cathedral. The farewell service to the Archdeacon of Richmond.
21 July: LSP Annual Conference

22-29 July: Riding Lights Theatre Company Summer School
Harrogate Ladies College (Map). 10:00am - 4:00pm including Finger Buffet from 12 noon, brief talks at 12:45pm 'The work of the HOPE centre' by Vernon Roosevelt (NLICM/HOPE) and at 1:00pm 'Partnership Working' by Chris Reuwer (Freedom Christian Church, Maryland USA) and Ketura Moselo Ramushu (Mama Kate), UNDP Programme Assistant based in South Africa. Kate is originally from Zimbabwe, the daughter of the first Methodist Bishop and Missionary in Zimbabwe. She has initiated most of the UNDP Programmes in Southern Africa, runs the fundraising unit for all these programmes and runs a Hospice for Old People and Aids orphans.
