7 July: Storm of Hope: Christian Ecology Link 25th anniversary, London
11-5 at All Hallows by the Towers church, Byward Street, EC3 (Map).
A day to celebrate Christian Ecology Link's 25th Anniversary with worship, music and poetry.
Speakers: Mary Grey, Ann Pettifor, Dave Bookless and Chris Walton, chaired by Peter Day of BBC World Service, with workshops led by
Mary Grey, Ann Pettifor, Sarah de Nordwall, Dave Bookless, Nicholas Grey, Jo Rathbone, plus practical workshops and discussion groups led by CEL members.
Poetry from Sarah de Nordwall. Music for worship led by Alison Adam of the Iona Community.

Sunday 8 July: Charles McNutt CA
10:30am, St Mary's. Charles' last service as he retires started with a song based on the twelve days of Christmas: "On the twelfth day of retirment our captain sent to us 12 , 11 Malden Road, 10 , nine , eight preaching rotas, seven pastoral calls, six emails five gold budgies, four Irish jokes, three buzy lizzies, two cassette tapes and a Church Army magazine".
Charles gave thanks for God's blessings throughout his life, starting at the family home in Donegal, mission work in Northern Ireland based in the Church Army Caravan no. 2, time with Ray Lewis, the evangelist, Aghadowey church, in Liverpool and on mission in Blackpool, and then in Harrogate at St Andrew's working with the Evengelism Explosion and Alpha initiatives. He was enthused by the work at Coral Ridge Presbyterian church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will never forget the camel ride on the Mount of Olives, spent with frineds from St Andrew's including Paul & Sheelagh Easby.

10, 11 & 12 July : Great Yorkshire Show : Yorkshire Church on Show
The displays at the church pavilion, organised by the committee of the Yorkshire Church on Show, are based on the theme 'Bridging the Gap' – signs of hope in a broken world'. More info also on this website.
 Wednesday 11 July: Issues that Unite and Divide
7:00pm: Fountains Abbey Visitor Centre; six leading people from different denominations Salvation Army, Methodists, Quakers, Roman Catholics, Baptists and Anglicans look at the past, present and future of ecumenical relations.
Rev David Rowland outlined Baptist doctrine, Rev Nick Shields offered a humble and generous Ecumenical overview from the Catholic perspective, Major Reg Melton spoke in personal testimony of the Ecumenical life of the Salvation Army, Robin Fishwick described how he felt about Quakers on unity, Rev Shaun Swithenbank was well received as the Methodist Minister encouraged the Synod: "The world needs us [as Christ's followers] more than we need each other" and Canon Jeff King noted that Anglicans "don't want to change [other denominations] any more".
A time of questions was followed by a reflection by The Bishop of Knaresborough. An open meeting organised by the Anglican Ripon Deanery.
