Monday 7 April: Pastor John Chan
... of
the Chinese Church, Leeds, was the guest speaker at the Spring Invitation Supper sponsored by Harrogate Christian Outreach. He spoke of the sixfold growth of Chinese Christians over recent years, looking at how the church has grown under severe persecution. His wife's conversion bore witness to the steadfastness of the faith of her parents - despite extreme hardship and imprisonment, her father never lost his faith. John Chan honoured the dedication of many missionaries and described how those filled with God's love and power know how God listens and responds to prayer. A well attended gathering, overflowing with stories of the way God has welcomed people into his family. Further details of future HCO events are available.
