20 September - 5 October: British Food Fortnight
Billed as a national celebration of our regional food and drink, British Food Fortnight events have been timed especially to coincide with Harvest Festival services across Britain - promoted in the literature.

Alpha Courses have started across Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon.

Friday 10 October: Y Friday
Y Friday are in concert at St Mark's church, Leeds Road, Harrogate Map at 7:30pm; organised by United Gigs. Tickets £5, sold out at Branchlines Christian Resource Centre, Commercial Street, Harrogate, Map, or by post from Harrogate Youth for Christ, Community House, Devonshire Place, Harrogate, North Yorkshire. 10-12 October: Faithworks Conference, Eastbourne
Faithworks write to say that there is still time to join Tony Campolo, Jackie Pullinger, Steve Chalke and hundreds of church leaders and individual Christians who are eager to explore how they can have a 'faith for the 21st Century'. Tony Campolo adds "No delegate to the Faithworks Conference will go home without having been motivated and resourced to use whatever time and faith they have to meet the needs of those around them". 15 October: Ian White Worship Concert, Calverley
At St Wilfrid's Parish Church, Calverley, Map, from 7:30pm. We hear that admission is free - an offering will be taken. More info from John Walker, tel: 0113 257 7968.

17 October: KSHPI Celebration
At St Andrew's, Starbek (Map) from 7:30pm. Part organised by Knaresborough Community Church.

24 October: Banner Workshop
for On Fire: 9:30am until lunchtime at Woodlands Methodist (Map). Finishing off the good work already done.

24 October: Jubilee Debt Campaign - Debt still not cancelled! Autumn Meeting
Including the "A Day to remember" video with contribution from many including Bob Geldorf andf Chancellor Gordon Brown. At St Paul's URC, Map, rear meeting room, from 7:30pm. Meeting to conclude with short AGM.

19 - 26 October: One World Week
One World Week's 25th anniversary is being celebrated with "Moving Stories".

26 October: Bible Sunday
Bible Society Gift Envelopes available locally from Ernest Stephens, 889560.

28 October: + Fr Ted Swinnerton
Requiem Mass at St Wilfrid's (Map) on Tuesday 28th October at 1:00pm for Fr Ted Swinnerton, formerly Vicar of Barnacre with Calder Vale in the Diocese of Blackburn. Fr Ted exercised a post-retirement minitry from St Wilfrid's and St Luke's.

31 October: KSHPI Day of Prayer
The Prayer Day meets at St Andrew's, Starbek (Map) from 10am to 1pm. Part organised by Knaresborough Community Church.

31 October - 2 November: Bilton Grange URC
Celebrating their 75th anniversary over the weekend. (Map)
Friday, 7pm: Celebration Concert & Light Supper (free admission).
Saturday 1 November 10 - 4: Open Church plus Celebration Lunch from 12 noon (tickets for lunch £4)
