Annual Clerical, Medical & Law Society dinner 2007
Richard Dean, CT President for 2006/7, welcomed all to the Annual dinner at Christ Church on Thursday 15 February, with guest speaker Jonathan Gibson, pictured left.
The grace before dinner was composed on the night by Rev David Hoskins and Fr Paul Greenwell, hospital chaplains:
The clerics and medics and lawyers
Sat down in Christ Church to feast
On Lasagne and vine ripened tomatoes
But who are the greatest and least?
No fruit shall be least said Lord Jesus
The humble inherit the earth
But we're short on 'humble' round here, Lord
But full of good cheer and mirth
So thank you our God and Father
For lawyers and doctors and priests
For all you give of your goodness
In this our annual feast
Amen

This rose has not been subjected to any additives, flavourings, colour enhancers, preservatives, genetic modifications nor has it been shouted at, exposed to music it does not prefer, has not been grown in a hot house wasting the earth's finite resources nor flown 5,000 miles to make it to your table.
It's lost some of its fragrance, though…
We hope your enjoyed the evening!
