Brahms – Ein Deutsches Requiem & Dvorak – Te Deum

Date(s) - 14/03/2015
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Royal Hall
Harrogate Choral Society will be performing the magnificent Ein Deutsches Requiem in its original language. Deeply moving, profound, and powerful, Ein Deutsches Requiem’s status as one of the greatest monuments of choral music, especially among its nineteenth-century peers, is unchallenged.
The concert programme also includes Dvorak’s Te Deum. Although smaller in scale than some of his other works, many consider this to offer an example of some of his finest writing.
The society is delighted to welcome back its acclaimed bass soloist, Duncan Rock, and regards it as a special privilege to perform once again with a professional orchestra of the standing of the Amici Ensemble. We also welcome soprano Sarah Power, who will be making her HCS debut.
