YORKSHIRE Cancer Research will hold a ‘Lantern of Life’ carol concert at The Bandstand, Valley Gardens, Harrogate, on Thursday, 5th December 2013.
The event will include eight carols led by St Aidan’s Church of England High School Girls’ Choir and Brass Group, and three readings given by guest speakers.
The concert will be free of charge but the charity is offering those who attend the chance to light a lantern in memory or celebration of a loved one in return for a donation of £10. They will then have the opportunity to take their lantern home.
Mulled wine and mince pies will also be available in return for a donation.
Andy Pierce, Events Manager at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said:
We’re really excited to invite all our supporters to our very special Christmas carol concert. The evening will provide a perfect opportunity for people to remember and celebrate the lives of family and friends, while marking the start of the festive season with a truly magical event.
The concert will begin at 6.15pm and finish at approximately 7.30pm
