Harrogate Symphony Orchestra: Children’s Concert 2015
- July 5, 2015 3:14 pm
Date(s) - 19/07/2015
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
This family concert for children and adults is inspired by the BBC’s ’Ten Pieces’ project, which aims to open up the world of classical music to children – and inspire them to develop their own creative responses. The Ten Pieces repertoire includes a range of music from baroque to contemporary.
As part of this special performance, Harrogate Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Bryan Western, will perform a selection of the Ten Pieces. In addition, children will be invited to play alongside the Orchestra in a number of the pieces, in special musical arrangements suitable for all abilities. But it is not only the players that will be entertained; we will also be trying for a new record: The Largest Kazoo Orchestra in Harrogate! All members of the audience will receive a kazoo to play during the concert.
