Harrogate International Festivals is proud to present the guitarist Milos as part of the 50th Harrogate Festival.
Since he topped the classical music charts in 2011, the Montenegrin guitarist Miloš Karadaglic´ – hailed as ‘the biggest classical-guitar phenomenon since John Williams’ by The Times – has risen to stardom.
Born in 1983, Miloš was 8 when Yugoslavia began to break up. At that time he found a dusty guitar with broken strings on top of a wardrobe. When the war ended and the country opened up, Miloš played in Paris, aged thirteen, and ‘finally saw the world in full colour’.
One of today’s strongest advocates of classical guitar for a new generation, Miloš effortlessly combines traditional pieces with pop classics from the 60s and 70s in a dazzling programme that champions the classical guitar in the 21st century.
