Harrogate International Festivals is proud to present the Polyphony Foundation as part of the 50th Harrogate Festival.

The Festival’s Artist in Residence, Saleem Ashkar, continues his exploration of place and identity through music with young musicians from the Polyphony Foundation, who are travelling to Harrogate from their base in Nazareth.

The Foundation – established by Saleem and his brother Nabeel Abboud Ashkar – aims to bring Arab and Israeli communities together through music eductation. With on-going tensions between Israel and Gaza, young Arabs and Jews work and play together in this ground-breaking programme. With the belief that young talent can create beauty, help to find common ground and correct inequalities; this is music with heart, soul and an urgent vitality.

Performing an eclectic programme including music by Nazarene composer Wisam Gibran, experience the uniting power of music first hand.

Tickets: £15. Available online: http://harrogateinternationalfestivals.com/whats-on/ ; over the phone on 01423 562 303; or in person at the Harrogate International Festivals Box Office, 32 Cheltenham Parade, Harrogate, HG1 1DB
