Harrogate International Festivals is proud to present the Quartetto Di Cremona as part of the 50th Harrogate Festival.

Quartetto di Cremona brings the essence of Italy to Harrogate with their programme, An Italian Journey. Creating a Sense of Place through the exploration of bel canto (the famous singing style of the classics of Italian Opera) the quartet will show how this can apply to instrumental music. The programme includes pieces by some of Italy’s finest composers such as Puccini who creates the same intimate feeling in I Crisantemi as he does within his opera’s. Plus Verdi transfers traditions found in Rigoletto into his chamber music.

Join the musicians in a pre-concert talk to find out the secrets behind how to make each characterful instrument find its voice and ‘sing’.
