Harrogate International Festivals is proud to present the Young Musician Soh-Yon Kim as part of the 50th Harrogate Festival.

South Korean violinist Soh-Yon Kim is already a multi-award-winning artist and was chosen as one of the Rising Stars of the Royal College of Music where she currently studies under the guidance of Itzhak Rashkovsky.

Performing with Estonian pianist Maksim Štšura, Soh-Yon Kim champions new music for the violin such as David Matthews’ Aria and the relatively unknown Schuberts’s Rondo ‘Brillante’, alongside violin standards including Chausson’s Poème. The programme pushes both technical and emotional boundaries, reaching ecstatic heights in the harmonically rich Poème before gently bringing us back to earth with Debussy’s serene Clair de Lune.

Tickets: £10. Available online: http://harrogateinternationalfestivals.com/whats-on/ ; over the phone on 01423 562 303; or in person at the Harrogate International Festivals Box Office, 32 Cheltenham Parade, Harrogate, HG1 1DB
