Hookstone Wood is a Local Nature Reserve, whose leisure amenity to the local community cannot be underestimate. Nestled within the urban development on the south side of Harrogate it is the gateway to Crimple and Bathing Wells Woods and the beautiful Crimple Valley.
In July 1996, part of this woodland was threatened by an infill application. The local community stood together to protect this much loved woodland and the Group was formed.
Having successfully campaigned against the infill application we began moving forward to achieve the Group's objectives of protecting, enhancing and preserving all of Hookstone and Crimple Woods for the benefit of future generations.
