The Friends aim to interest the
public in raising funds with which to purchase special equipment
or additional amenities and comforts for the benefit of patients.
In 2005 the Friends purchased equipment and amenities to a total
value of £173,000. We welcome donations, legacies, collections
in lieu of flowers and support from other professional and business
premises either by direct sponsorship or individual support.Some
760 Leagues are members of the National Association of Hospital
and Community Friends (Attend) which acts as a influential lobbying
body on national issues and provides insurance cover for our
fund-raising activities and is a useful information exchange
service at local level.Would you please consider
becoming a member of the Harrogate Hospital and Community Friends.
The membership fee is a minimum of £4 per year for an
individual, or £6 for joint wife/husband/family. We have
a separate scheme of corporate membership for business
and professional bodies. Please click on 'membership
