League Results
Coaching
With 4 carpet courts, three which are floodlit. all weather courts winter and
summer play is encourage. There are sessions to suit all levels,
ages and abilities from beginners to advance players.
Five Teams participate in the Harrogate and District Mixed League,
ranging from Division One to four other teams in lower Divisions.
We also have a Men's and Ladies team's in the Yorkshire Doubles League's,
a Men's team in the National Club League and both Men's and Ladies
in respective Veterans Inter Club Doubles competitions.
Social Tennis which can sometimes be no less competitive is readily available
and encouraged with mid week, afternoon, days or nights club play.
Open Days and American Tournaments are held throughout the
Summer Season and Junior Tennis Club continues with coaching
throughout the year.
Winter Season
The club remains very active throughout the winter as our courts enable us
to play all year round. Winter membership is available to all from October
to March (please call Mike Jackson / 01423 816767 for details). All you
have to do is wrap up warm!
Winter flloodlit league provides an opportunity for our members and other
local clubs without winter facilities to continue playing tennis from
October - February. Teams consist of two ladies/two men playing two mixed /
one ladies / one mens (or any other format which both sides agree to ) in a
friendly mini league. Any clubs interested in joining please contact
Yvonne Richards on 01423 816767.
Club Play
The club runs various 'club play' sessions all year round which is for all
members to join in and mix together. These are:
Tuesdays 2pm - 4.30pm
Wednesdays 6pm - 9.00pm
Thursdays 2pm - 4.30pm
Sundays 2pm - 5.00pm
Simply turn up and play.
Match Play
Mark Hinchclidffe (Head Coach) is currently putting together training
sessions for all members wishing to play in teams this season. Keep your eye
on the notice board!
The Harrogate Tennis League matches commence on Monday 30 April 2007
and the club has 5 teams ready to battle it out in what is a very competitive
league. With two teams in division one this season, there will be plenty of
internal competition!
Yorkshire League matches will commence around the same time.
