NYPC Performance Centre

· A number of Clubs grouping together with a leading Club (Harrogate Racquets Club) with the aim of providing a centre for excellence in the locality and structured coaching/strategies to increase participation of sport in the area. It is not just one club

· The individual clubs retain their total independence but join together in the common aims.

What help can you give?

Join the committee there is an enormous amount of work to do during the set-up period.

Join the Harrogate Performance Centre group: a Performance centre is not one club, it is a consortium of Clubs, we have already established links with Leeds University, St John Fisher School, Harrogate Grammar and Ripon Grammar.

Facilitating and delivering a top class structured coaching program that is directed at all levels and all ages

Having programs in place to attract players back to the sport and attracting new adult players from the pay and play facilities.


The Performance Centre aims to benefit badminton development both at grass roots and performance level.  

Head Coach for the performance centre is responsible for;


· Encaging with the local Schools to increase participation through

· Coaching sessions in the schools

· Coaching sessions within HRC (or other clubs if possible)

· Arranging competition

· Administering the scheme
