Children are welcome at St Mark's Church! We encourage you to bring them to the appropriate worship services on Sundays - but check out the activities below to see how else you can encourage the young lives in your care. These activities are all held in the Church building.
These groups meet on Sundays during the 9:30, 11:00 and 5:00 services. After a short time of worship in the service, the young people gather in age related groups to learn about the Bible through activities, song and teaching - always lively and fun!
Fridays (2nd & 4th Friday monthly) in term time. From 10:00 to 11:30 there is worship for under 5's and their carers. Songs, rhymes, dancing and prayers with responses as well as activities involving puppets, drama & stories bring the bible to life for young children.
Meets on Tuesdays (10:00 to 11:30am), Thursdays (10:00 to 11:30am) and Friday (1st, 3rd and 5th week in the month - 10:00 to 11:30am). There are 3 separate toddler groups. Each provides support for parents/carers who remain with their children during the sessions. Please contact the co-ordinator through the church office to join the wait list for your child.
Takes place on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30am to 12:00 during term time. This group is for 2½ - 4½ year olds . The emphasis is on learning through play and the children have many different opportunities for both indoor and outdoor activity.
