Enjoy A Great Day Out...

How Stean Gorge is a spectacular limestone gorge, lying hidden amid Nidderdale's lush green pastures. Narrow paths and footbridges cut through the steep-sided ravine which is 80 feet deep in places. Water rushes over the large boulders carving them into fantastic shapes. In the calmer waters fish hide in the shade of the overhanging rocks.

How Stean Gorge offers a range of activities including:

  • Caving
  • Gorge Walking
  • Potholing
  • Cycle Hire

In addition, the licenced restaurant serves home cooked meals and 'Sunday Lunch' everyday, and offers home-made cakes, lunches and teas.
